The Drones are back! Their sixth studio album, I See Seaweed is out next month, and the first taste, ‘How To See Through Fog’ is one of those sprawling pieces of work full of that wonderful light and shade that The Drones are known for.
The album was recorded in regional Victoria last year with help from the rather prolific Burke Reid.
This is going to be an album a heap of people are eagerly anticipating – and rightly so!
The full lineup for St Kilda Festival’s Festival Sunday came out today, and it’s looking good.
We announced the first four acts on the list about a month ago, and although they looked good, the full lineup looks better. Some great local bands and one that will get all the ’90s and early ’00s kids going nuts.
This year, Festival Sunday spans across nine stages, with a decent range of acts playing. You should recognise a few of the names, but like me, there’s a few there i haven’t heard of. Below is the full lineup with set times etc. As you can see, there is HEAPS on.
Especially looking forward to Gareth Liddiard, Jebediah, Muscles, Kimbra, The Medics, Hungry Kids of Hungary, Dan Webb, Jessica Paige, Paqman, The Bon Scotts, and Stonefield. It’s all for free, it’s on Sunday Feb 13th, and is right throughout St Kilda.
