I, A MAN.

Ok. These guys are supporting Love Migrate when they launch their newy Little Kid next week at The Toff.

I, A Man do some really quite lovely indie pop. It has that warm quality that seems to be pretty rare in the local scene, and I like very very much. They have three tracks all up on their Unearthed profile…two of which have been added to the JJJ playlist. If you listen to the JJJ’s, you would have heard Sometimes. It’s an amazing song, that builds and changes and has that 3/4 groove that you feel should be urgent, but it’s not. It just sits there and forms a really great framework for a killer pop song. And when that chorus kicks in, I actually find myself swooning. Yep.

JUBILANTS.

Yikes. Love it when locals (even if it is Sydney) represents. Jubilants do some pretty darn sweet jangly indie pop. Sounds a fair bit like another Sydney band (and maamf FAVE!) The Holidays. Has that tropical feel.

Add to that a definite dance feel (think Two Door Cinema Club, Foals, Friendly Fires, Vampire Weekend, The Holidays) and I think we got it sorted.

Check out their track Antics taken from their debut EP hopefully dropping our way soon!

Dancing Heals

kkkkkkk. some feel good indie pop for your Thursday night. This stuff is supes sweet and is local too (Melbourne boys represent).

The band is Dancing Heals. The track is called Diamonds and they’ve got the production talents of Tony Espie (Cut Copy, Midnight Juggernauts) and that goth pop dude Mandy Kane.

Check it out and support the local artists.

Celadore are three dudes from Melbourne who make some pretty sweet as indie pop. Super talented songwriters these guys. Catchy and hooks galore…have not been able to get this song out of my head. I’m not usually a fan of this kinda more poppy stuff, but when it’s written well and it has insanely good hooks, then it’s kinda hard to ignore! The boys are on PopBoomerang records who support some really awesome local indie pop. Check that label out!

The guys are currently on a Vic tour launching their debut EP Distance Is A Gun. Check out the deets over at their myspace.

Grab the title track from the Distance Is A Gun EP just below as well as the vid for the same track.
