Yeep, posting Little Deed’s latest. Two from two for the mystery girl posted by yours truly.
That hit rate is pretty rare, since I am, as they say: ‘fundamentally and wildly inconsistent’.
But this is nice. Expansive.
I don’t know if she recorded herself in a large cave, or approximated that using digital signal processing technology – maybe none of us will ever really know for sure. But either way this one puts a fresh spin on an aesthetic I recall fondly from Florence’s Ceremonials. And if any part of you thinks that may not be a complementary parallel, then I think you need to listen to that album again.
Sounds like the epicness is even testing the poor soundcloud encoder, but such is our luck and luxury we can now buy a version captured with a fuller complement of bytes.
Also I couldn’t help but notice her Soundcloud is followed by people including Flight Facilities – to which I thought “hmmmm” and also “well now”. If they do ever do a thing together I’m calling that last sentence an exclusive.
Anyway I trust you value our new format, where we’re careful to review streaming encoder performance and who follows who on social networks. 2014 journalism is the best journalism.

MAY ’13 MIX.
yikes. so this is kinda bumper. Like proper bumper. At 1hr and 17mins, it’s got everything you need to get nostalgic about the month just gone…or perhaps everything you need to play catch up on the month that’s just gone. Either way, it’s a solid mix.
And as a quick aside, turns out soundcloud only lets you upload 2hours worth of stuff until you have to start paying. So it’s back to the ugly wordpress player for this month.

OCTOBER ’12 MIX
Ok, so slowly we’re getting back on track. This here is the October Mixtape, chockablock full of my fave tunes of October. Some absolute stunners in here – the Lower Spectrum EP was one I kept on coming back to, as was Tame Impala‘s record, Collarbones‘s second full length, as well as the Love Migrate disc. Then there were those big massive tracks – that Hermitude remix of Presets‘ ‘Ghosts’. MY GOSH.
All of the tracks are pretty excellent…and I think it’s one of the better tapes so far.

Simply put?
YES! A MILLION TIMES YES! FUCK ME SIDEWAYS YES!
I love the original of this. And I also love all the remixes and originals Flight Facilities have done so far. So, really, this was a bit of a match made in heaven. It doesn’t completely alter it. It just pushes it into this more driven extended almost discoish mix, complete with seagulls. To say it’s good is an understatement.

Sounds creepy out of context right? Yeah, sure does. Within context though, it makes a heap of sense. Especially if that context is Flight Facilities debut single Crave You. The track is featuring the v cool Giselle, a local singer – check out her MySpace actually for some pretty funky tracks.
The Crave You single just came out on Bang Gang 12″s a few days ago. You can check it out on iTunes and Beatport, complete with about a gazillion remixes…one of those remixes is the C90’s remix…and you can check that one out just below.
