Sometimes you come across (or are sent) some really great tracks. And, sometimes blogs love them soo much that they choose to make up their own label and sign bands that they love heaps. My Old Kentucky Blog is one of those blogs. They’ve set up a label called Roaring Colonel and they just signed up San Fran/Indianapolis trio Burnt Ones.
Think old school 60′s fuzzed out to the max, garage rock ‘n’ roll. There’s also this MASSIF wall of sound going on which makes sure you don’t miss out on anything. You have to turn this stuff up loud or else…well…there’s just no point otherwise.
Burnt Ones have just put out their debut album Black Teeth & Golden Tongues. Is an awesome listen, and is definitely on high rotation (I’ve had it for only a few days, and it’s gotten at least 4 or 5 listens).
