AUGUST ’12 MIX.
ok, so here we go. It’s only about a week or so late, but I’ve been pretty busy lately (mismatch.tv being a big focus). This month has seen so many awesome releases, and like always, a pretty big mix of stuff. The St Vitus Cardinals boys are doing some really sweet things at the mo (I actually had a chat to Ry about it and his solo stuff earlier on in the week). Tyler Touché is also a standout for me – he’s a friggin’ high school kid and he has production skills like that??!! It also makes me pretty hungry, french style.
Then then there’s the awesome sounds of bands like Lurch & Chief, The Smith Street Band and King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard (their album is stellar!). As per usual, some tracks are available for individual download, others, you just gonna have to hear in the full tape.
YES!

We’ve posted on this dude before…and for good reason. Harts does some really great indie pop. Great great great song writer with hooks coming out of your ahole.
New track ‘All Too Real’ is this synth pop number with a bit of 80′s guitar solo thrown in for good measure. I think the fact that it sounds so polished makes it stand out even more.
The track is the first to be lifted from the new EP, Offtime which should be seeing a release in the next couple of months.
Dig this.
And the clip is solid too!

Local Melbourne fella Harts is a pretty darn great producer/songwriter/one man band. His track Back To The Shore has an almost Strokes feel with the guitars, but is drenched in some 80′s cool that kills.
The track is taken off his debut EP Offtime due out early next year. The EP was produced by Lars Stalfors of Mars Volta fame – pretty big pull aye. Anyway, you can download the track below and make sure you keep an eye out for this dude.
