BORED NOTHING.

Ok, so this stuff is lovely. Bored Nothing is one dude, Fergus Miller from Melbourne town. He makes some really great, unassuming 90′s vibe indie and, at the risk of sounding like a complete and utter wanker, it makes me feel kinda nostalgic.

He released an EP a couple of weeks ago, which is all kinds of good. There are some definite brooding moments on there too – Pay For My Drugs is a highlight for me. But then there’s tracks like ‘Only Old’ which has gone a bit gangbusters lately.

Free download of the EP over on his bandcamp page – suggest you get this stuff into ya.

fire in the eyes of bears

Bearhug. 5 boys out of Sydneytown doing some pretty sweet indie guitar pop. Great, well written pop songs.

The guys have just signed to Spunk and have been on tour with indie darlings Broken Social Scene and are about to support maamf faves Philly Jays as well as Built To Spill (check out the deets on their MySpace. You can also grab tix to some of the gigs via the maamf posse strore).

We’ve got two tracks from the fellas taken from their recently released EP To Anything (iTunes). Enjoy, and expect some big stuff from these guys.

everyday i see not one, but TWO tigers

Ok. Straight up, no nonsense post.

The band is Twin Tigers. They’re out of Georgia in the States. They’re a 3piece. And they’re currently on tour in the US supporting The Hold Steady AND Interpol. Pretty sweet support slots.

They’ve got a nice nice track called Everyday, and it’s overly distorted indie guitar moody pop. It’s sweet. It’s off their 2nd album Gray Waves (iTunes) which came out earlier on this year.
