AiH + CLOCK OPERA
wowzers.
Love this remix. Clock Opera are all sorts of good and have taken what has been one of the best tracks of the year so far and found something in it and made it their own. I love the fact that they’ve changed the chord progression and, in a way, have changed the whole intention of the track. This is remixing at it’s best in my books.
Thanks to the amazing dudes over at RCRD LBL for this one – give them some love.
Architecture in Helsinki record drops this Friday here so i’m kinda pumped.
CLOCK OPERA.
ok. So this dropped in the inbox the other day, and man, perfect pop anyone? Clock Opera have recently signed to Moshi Moshi (awesome label) and are set to release this new single, Belongings on May 12. We got a stream below as well as the ever awesome clip for earlier single Once And For All.
…
The Drums + Matthew Dear + Clock Opera
okokokokok. So The Drums. I’m predicting they’re gonna hit quite a few best albums of 2010 lists. Not mine mind you, but I can definitely see why they would hit them.
They put out a new single recently called Me & The Moon. And it’s just got the remix treatment from some pretty big names. We got the stream of the Matthew Dear remix as well as the remix done by Clock Opera. Can I say that BOTH ARE FREAKING EXCELLENT??!! There are four remixes of the single all up (the other two are by Twin Shadow and Moonlight Matters and you should be able to find them out there on the web tonight).

Kitsune Maison 10
ok ok. So the blog world used to be in love with everything French label Kitsune put out. Then the love dropped off a bit, as the Kitsune compilations dropped off a bit. But now, Kitsune are back.
The guys are releasing their 10th Kitsune Maison Comp, called The Firework Issue later on this month (It’s getting a digital release in a week and a bit – 15th Nov). It has a stellar tracklisting too. Is Tropical, Two Door Cinema Club, Clock Opera, Digitalism and Aussies Strange Talk and Flight Facilities all appear, so it should be pretty saweeeet.
The minimix is pretty good – not as great as some of their other minimixes they put out for their comps, but it still gives you a pretty good idea of what’s on there. There’s a part II of the minimix dropping next week too (can a minimix actually ‘drop’??!!), so look out for that one too.
Grab the 1st half MiniMix down below as well as checking out the vid, which is just an opportunity for Kitsune to show off their clothing range (although, it does come complete with hotness, so i ain’t complaining).
Bye bye!
Sometimes headings to posts can be a little misleading. I’m not going anywhere really. I have this thing where I gotta be witty with my headings…and yeah, 99 % of those are pretty shit…and, well, not that funny.
Anywho, enough of the negatives. Au Revoir Simone are kinda positive sounding. Their redoing of Paris by Friendly Fires last year was a massive fave. Their third LP Still Night, Still Light went kinda big too. But, after all this aclaim, you’d think they’d be all happy with where they are. Nup. They just have to go out and release a freakin remix cd. Remix cd’s are so done. Oh man. Haha…jokes jokes jokes.
This remix cd actually looks like one i will pick up and put on high rotation. Au Revoir Simone have some amazing tracks. And it seems as though just about every remix so far sounds amazing too.
The new remix album is called Night Light and it comes out next week (July 5.) Different artists have had their shot at remixing a track from the album. It’s gonna feature remixes from Jens Lekman, Silver Collumns and Deradoorian (Angel from Dirty Projectors). It’s also gonna feature remixes from Aeroplane, Neon Indian, and Clock Opera. You can check out those remixes just below.
