Pretty Girls Kickin’ & Laserin’ Lupe

ok. This is a great remix. (Pretty) Girls & Lasers are out of NYC and they do indie dance. And so do a whole heap of other people out there. I think you gotta listen to their mixes though to get a true idea of how good they are…or, if you’re in NYC, go see them live!

They’ve just put out a new remix though. It’s of the Lupe Fiasco track Kick, Push. And it goes pretty well. I LOVE the original track. It’s just so cruisy and Lupe’s flow on the track is just as cruisy. The remix changes it up. Takes away that cruisiness, and instead instills this electro beat and makes it into something completely different. The pushy synths used in the chorus remind me of another track which I can’t put my finger on just at the mo (If you know, comment please!). Amazing how the vocals suit the remix as well as they suit the original. Good pick up by the (Pretty) Girls… I reckon!
