speak.
Im a sucker for a good pop song. And SPEAK have that in droves. Their track Carrie is such a great example of this. Feel good. Hand claps. Anthemic sounding synths. Get it just down below.
First off though, a little about the band. These guys are from Austin, Texas. Their singer, Troupe Gammage has been writing his own stuff since he was in his in his early teens…maybe all those years of writing have helped in him finding that ‘perfect pop’ sound. The rest of the guys met in 2008 and formed SPEAK. They’ve signed to Playing In Traffic Records and have had some assistance from producer Chris ‘Frenchie’ Smith, the same dude behind JET’s Shaka Rock and some of The Dandy Warhols stuff.
Anyway, here it is. Expect their debut EP and an album release this year. Their EP Hear Here is out on Feb 9.
K. That’ll do the ramble for now

Carrie is great! Yeah, nothing says pop like the double handclap. Since they are in Austin are they playing SXSW?

Agreed! Nothing quite like the double handclap as a pick me up. Love the range of the guy’s voice too.
